Let’s face it – finding accessible, in-stock inventory is a challenge in today’s supply chain-hampered economy. At Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets, we pride ourselves on having readily available, in-stock inventory of top flooring brands like Shaw Floors, COREtec, Armstrong Flooring, Anderson Hardwood Floors, and more.
“Our clients know that what you see in our store is what we have and what we can get. This is why we have repeat clients and also what draws in new customers,” Daniel Meadows, Managing Partner, says. “We have always been able to control inventory because of how we source our products.”
Nothing can be more frustrating than beginning a home improvement project only to learn that the item you need is out-of-stock or back-ordered. This is not the case at Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets. Why? Well, it goes back to how we started.
Michael’s Flooring was founded by Michael Meadows, Daniel’s father, and originally opened in Dalton, GA. Michael saw an opportunity to buy overages and wholesale flooring direct from mills in the area. He established strong relationships with the producers in Georgia and developed a pipeline for a range of flooring products at an incredibly competitive price.
As the business expanded, the team added the Greenville store and developed a trucking fleet and drivers. “This helped us control on-time deliveries. Owning the process from the mills to the stores solves many supply chain, labor, delivery, and back-ordering issues,” explains Daniel.
“Recently, I was shopping for a rug only to learn that most rugs in the style I liked were back-ordered for months. The contractor I was working with told me to try Michael’s and explained that inventory is usually not a problem at this store. Not only did I find exactly what I wanted, but they were able to cut and bind it that same day. I was shocked,” explains Lindsay, a recent customer.
We know that controlling as much of the supply chain as possible is a key advantage and helps us better serve our clients. Not only does this alleviate the inventory/back-ordering problem, but it also helps us control costs so that our clients get what they need quickly and at a competitive price.
Do not shy away from projects because you have inventory concerns. At Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets, we are here to help you!
