At Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets, we are always thankful for partnerships with other local businesses. Our sales reps have worked hard to establish and develop relationships with a variety of local partners, including designers and local contractors. “This was an area of focus this past year and we have seen this part of our business grow,” explains Daniel, Managing Partner of Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets. “We are able to supply these partners with both product and install options. We are thankful for these partnerships and continue to see customers come to us for flooring and cabinets through these relationships.”

Recently, we worked with DG Builders, a contractor in Travelers Rest, to provide flooring solutions on a new construction project in Piedmont, SC. We love working with builders like DG to help them achieve the goals of their clients while offering a broad selection of quality products at a lower price point.

Why DG Builders values this Partnership:

In a recent interview with DG Builders, Sylvette Kachurak, a selections specialist, explains why DG Builders prefers to use Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets. “Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets always has ample options for our clients. These products are always available and in-stock inventory has never been an issue. They can also install everything they sell. The staff is very knowledgeable, good with our clients, and has always accommodated installs in a timely manner. We know when we refer a client to Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets, the sales reps will take care of them!”

The Process:

The process of working with a builder is really customized for each client. Sometimes the client wants to shop individually for flooring and others may need assistance. A selection specialist at DG Builders will work with a sales rep at Michael’s Flooring & Cabinets to gather basic information regarding overall preferences, rooms where the flooring will be installed, and a general budget. This helps the sales rep steer the client towards suitable options when the client visits the store to make flooring choices.

The Client:

For this particular project, the client chose the color, brand, and style based on specific preferences. Yo at Michael’s was able to help her finalize her selections relatively quickly. The home is a fully custom home and sits on a free-standing lot. The client chose LVPs for the main living area of the home and carpet for the bedrooms.

Main Living:

For the main living area of the home, the client selected Triumph-The New Standard II by Engineered Floors. Her color choice was Caicos, which is a darker floor. The style of the home is farmhouse so the darker flooring offsets the white and lighter colors used on walls throughout the home as well as some of the lighter accents. This product is waterproof and withstand heavy use as well as kids and pets.

Bedrooms:

This new construction features three bedrooms. The client chose another product by Engineered Floors for the bedrooms: Dreamweaver Malibu I Carpet in Smoky Quartz. This is a polyester carpet with 20 color options. This carpet has a 25-year warranty for pet stains, fading, and manufacturing defects.

We are thankful for the partnership we have created with DG Builders. They offer a wide array of services, from outdoor luxury living to complete renovations and new construction builds. To learn more about DG Builders or get a quote for your next home project, visit their website
